Until you connect with this power, what you strive for is not in line with what you really want most. You may pursue objects based on emotional reactions, superficial desires, or even logical reasoning while departing from the course in life that would be most fulfilling.

When we lead our lives WITHOUT being anchored to our core-intention we live in a state of inner conflict. We may not realize that we feel inner conflict, only that we feel a sense of stress, strain, frustration and a lack of fulfillment.

When our core-intention remains unconscious we also feel a sense of insecurity that we may not be able to explain. This happens because on a deep, inner level we know that we are headed off-course.

As you connect with your core-intention you heal this inner schism and feel a sense of operating with full power, doing what is truly aligned with your number one interest in life.

As you function in line with your core-intention you make the most direct and immediate progress in line with your TRUE definition of success, and that brings inner peace, contentment, and confidence.

To get in touch with your core-intention should therefore be your intention. We can say that the first stage of core-intention connection is acknowledging your intention to connect with it. In other words, operating FROM your core-intention is your preliminary core-intention.

Deep within you is a knowing that arises from what we can call your True Self, and that knowing is what connects you with your core-intention.

Your True Self may be different from the self you think you are! You might think, for instance, that you want most of all to please your parents, when, on a deeper level, you want to do what is best for your own children whether it pleases your parents or not.

You might THINK that what you want most of all is to “get back at someone” for some offensive remark they made about you, or for some under-handed strategy that tried to pull. But on a deeper level, your real intention is to remain focused on advancing in your career, improving your income or cultivating a talent.

Emotional reactions and strong, sudden desires MASQUERADE as directives arising from our True Self, as signals of our core-intention. Just because you WANT to do something, say something, or even THINK something does not make that the very best choice for you.

The ability to recognize your core-intention and to distinguish it from more superficial and even misleading forms of inner guidance is an essential success skill to develop.

Here are some tips for developing it:

1.On a DAILY basis, calmly think about your goals, what you really want to accomplish in life.

2.Write your goals on an index card that you carry around with you throughout the day, to review often. This serves as a kind of target for your daily living.

3.At the end of each day, review your actions, thoughts, speech and emotional reactions to discern the relationship between those and your goals. Do this by asking yourself, “Was this (action, thought, speech, or emotional reaction) aligned with my most important goal?

As you apply these 3 tips your core-intention will become more and more clear, and your life will become more and more TRULY successful and fulfilling as a result.
