A successful marriage is like a springboard to great life success. But a successful marriage means more than just staying together. A successful marriage means getting along great!

Great accomplishments depend upon the support of great relationships. Great relationships are deeply harmonious relationships.  The single most essential relationship tip for a successful marriage is for the individuals involved to remain committed to maintaining a harmonious relationship.

And here is the relationship tip for creating harmonious relationships: commit to harmony for a purpose higher than the satisfaction of passion. 

A successful marriage is one that serves a higher purpose. The individuals involved have to care more about being in harmony than proving who is right and who is wrong. They both must recognize that harmonious relationships are empowering. To create a harmonious relationship, to be really successful at marriage, you have to be dedicated to serving a purpose that takes you above your petty grievances, one that you each care so much about you are willing to incessantly work on getting along better and better, through thick and thin,

If you want to accomplish something really important in your life, and if you are truly committed to that, then you have the formula for a truly successful marriage. You have enough reason and motivation to preserve the harmony in your relationship.  Individuals who become contentious in their marriage demonstrate that they really don't care that much about accomplishing anything really big in life. They are willing to sabotage the higher levels of life success they could otherwise achieve for the superficial pleasure of dominating their mate.

To enjoy a truly successful marriage, you first need to become clear about the truly great success you want to achieve in your life. This is also the formula for enjoying more harmonious relationships in general.  Become clear about what you want so much that you are willing to give up all of your contentiousness in your marriage for it. A successful marriage is the springboard to a life of great success.
